Section 3: Valuing Life
Rules #8-14
Rule #8: VDM / RDM / KOS
Description: RDM (Random Death Match), VDM (Vehicle Death Match), and KOS (Kill On Sight) are terms coined to describe the act of killing another player randomly and without any valid roleplay reason to do so.
Examples:
Driving over people on the sidewalk.
Shooting random people.
Randomly executing NPCs because they are in your way.
Punishments: Breaches can result in temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on severity.
Rule #9: No Value for Life (NVL)
Description: Prioritize your character's safety and life in dangerous situations. Avoid engaging recklessly when faced with immediate danger.
Examples:
Ignoring a gun-wielding aggressor and taunting them without reason.
Engaging in vigilantism or antagonizing hostile groups without proper justification.
Punishments: Breaches can result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on severity.
Rule #10: Fear Roleplay
Description: Fear for your character's life in situations where it's reasonable to do so. Failure to roleplay fear when faced with life-threatening situations may lead to a character kill (CK).
Examples:
Failing to fear for your character's life when someone has a gun pointed at them.
Baiting others to provoke character killing.
Punishments: Fear CK may be administered by senior admins in clear NVL violations.
Rule #11: NVL - Vigilantism
Description: Players may not involve themselves in law vs. criminal scenes like bank robberies without appropriate deputization or roleplay reasons.
Examples:
Joining a shootout between law and criminals without proper authorization.
Intervening in situations that do not concern your character.
Punishments: Depending on severity, breaches can result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
Rule #12: Hospital Camping
Description: Do not linger near hospitals to taunt players who have recently lost a fight. Avoid disruptive and disrespectful behavior in these areas.
Examples:
Waiting near a hospital to provoke recently defeated players.
Disrupting the immersive atmosphere near hospitals.
Punishments: Depending on severity, breaches can result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
Rule #13: Torture Roleplay
Description: If engaging in torture roleplay, obtain explicit consent from all parties involved. Promptly conclude the scenario if a participant expresses discomfort or objection.
Examples:
Using /me commands to inflict torture without consent.
Continuing torture when someone objects (e.g., /me Not ok with that).
Punishments: Depending on severity, breaches can result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
Rule #14: Character Kill (CK) / Perma
Description: Roleplaying your character's death or “perma” means you agree to your character being Character Killed (permanent loss of the character) which cannot be reverted. Character kills should be handled with care and roleplayed out respectfully. We are strictly against any type of Character Kill / Perma storylines including self-harm, suicide, or any similar topics.
Only the Administration Team can force permanent character kills under specific circumstances (Rule #10). No other player can perma your character.
To initiate a character kill, you must do so with an EMS by using /me’s 3 times to confirm your character has no pulse, is unresponsive, or is not recovering from the treatment.
Once this has been initiated your character will be unable to be played, and removed from the server.
Examples:
/me “has no pulse” 3 times when vitals are checked by an EMS.
/me “is unresponsive” 3 times when tests are done by an EMS.
/me “is not recovering” 3 times when treatment is being done by an EMS.
Punishments: Depending on severity, breaches will likely result in temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
