đSection 5: OOC Terminology
Rules #19-23
Rule #19: Out-of-Character Discussions
Description: Out-of-character (OOC) discussions and conversations are encouraged to take place in Discord channels and are prohibited while in-game.
The use of immersion-breaking words is strictly prohibited within our community.
Examples:
Saying "in my head" or "spiritual" to mean IRL/OOC.
Standing AFK in a group of people. (#FailRP)
Discussing server issues or OOC topics in the in-game chat.
Punishments: Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on severity.
Rule #20: Mentioning Other Cities or Counties
Description: Under no circumstances are you permitted to mention or refer to other âcitiesâ or âcountiesâ within our community. You may include stories about your character from other servers as part of a characterâs backstory, as long as it does not cross the line of powergaming. You may refer to these as stories from your characterâs âhometownâ or the city they came from in the backstory.
Examples:
DO: Say âOnce upon a time I was a lawyer in Las Venturas.â
DO: Say âI used to work at Burgershot in my hometown.â
DO NOT: Say âOnce upon a time I was a lawyer in ____ city.â
DO NOT: Say âI used to work at Burgershot in ____ county.
Punishments: Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on severity.
Rule #21: Cousins / Alter Egos
Description: While having âcousinsâ or âalter egosâ is allowed, sharing information across characters is strictly prohibited within our community. Additionally, impersonating one of your own "cousins" or "alter egos" is strictly prohibited. You may not play multiple characters involved in the same faction (PD, EMS, Gang, Business) without prior approval from the admin team. If you would like to play multiple roles within the same faction, please open a ticket and give a valid reason.
Examples:
Sharing knowledge between two of your characters such as where things are or events that occurred on another character. (#metagaming)
Punishments: Breaches can result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on severity.
Rule #22: Use of OOC Terms for Staff
Description: Using phrases like âthe governmentâ or âlook to the skiesâ to refer to staff members is strictly prohibited within our community.
Engaging in discussions or using terminology related to spiritual and in your head matters is not allowed.
Examples:
Referring to staff members as "the government" or making supernatural claims about staff roles such as âgodsâ or âadminsâ while in-character.
Punishments: Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on severity.
Rule #23: Handling Bugs and Technical Issues
Description: To maintain the flow of roleplay, it is important to adapt and continue with the storyline despite encountering bugs or technical issues. If you come across a bug such as cars being âghostedâ or a script not functioning as expected, we encourage you to continue the roleplay and work around the issue temporarily. Afterward, please report the bug through the appropriate channels to ensure it can be addressed and resolved by the development team.
Examples:
Complaining in-game about a minor graphical glitch in a way that disrupts roleplay.
Referring to things as being âscuffedâ instead of just roleplaying around it.
Punishments: Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on severity.
